Abstract
Australia is ranked the highest producer of LNG capacity as of 2021, with over 80 million tonnes. The country's fossil fuel industry is dominated by natural gas production. With conventional gas contributing 74% of production, CBM accounts for 26% and unconventional less than 1%. Natural gas production is dominated by shallow water terrain production, with 6,159 mmcfd this year and approximately 4,851 mmcfd by 2025.
