Abstract
Equatorial Guinea is one of the main producers of oil and gas in Africa. The country has joined the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in 2017, becoming the fourth member in the bloc from Sub-Saharan region. As of 2021, Equatorial Guinea held 1.1 billion barrels of crude oil and 39 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
