Abstract
Angola is one of the major crude oil producers in Africa. The country holds a proven crude oil reserve of approximately 2.5 billion barrels. The country also holds approximately 10.6 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of natural gas. The first commercial crude oil discovery was made in 1955 in Kwanza basin, with first oil production commenced in the same year from Benfica field.
