Hybrid AVOD-SVOD Forecasts

Netflix, Disney+, Max and Paramount+ will create hybrid AVOD-SVOD revenues of $24 billion by 2029, up from $7 billion in 2023. SVOD will provide $13.6 billion of the 2029 hybrid revenues ($3.6 billion in 2023), with AVOD bringing in $10.2 billion ($3.1 billion in 2023).

Simon Murray , Principal Analyst at Digital TV Research, said: "Hybrid tiers will mostly be limited to richer countries. We expect that hybrid AVOD-SVOD for Netflix and Disney+ will be in 41 and 45 countries respectively by 2029. Max will be in 39 countries and Paramount+/SkyShowtime in 45 countries."

Hybrid revenues (AVOD and SVOD) will represent 23% of Netflix's total revenues by 2029 whereas the proportion will be much higher for Disney+ (39%), Max (34%) and Paramount+ (43%).
