This IDC study presents the five-year forecast for smartphone shipments worldwide by operating system."As a mature market, the worldwide smartphone market is not expected to show drastic swings in the years to come," points out Ramon T. Llamas, research director with IDC's Mobile Phones team. "However, ongoing political and economic trends can affect our forecast. For now, based on the information we have available - including current decisions on tariffs and political responses - we believe that the worldwide smartphone market is still sound and will see increases in 2025 and beyond."
