U.S. Business Use Smartphone Forecast Update, 2024-2028

This IDC study presents the five-year forecast for the U.S. business use of smartphone shipments by operating system and user type (consumer, individual liable, and corporate liable). It is part of IDC's continuing research with respect to mobile devices. Findings in this document are based on information gathered from primary and secondary sources during the past six months."Corporate-liable device shipments remain a bright spot in the U.S. business use smartphone market, bolstered by businesses looking to reduce the number of BYOD devices in their environments, as well as an increase in COSU deployments for frontline scenarios," said Bryan Bassett, research manager, IDC's Enterprise Mobility: Workspace and Deployment Strategies program. "As U.S. enterprises signal that mobile AI will be a top spending priority through 2025, next-gen mobile AI smartphones are expected to drive CL shipments in the near term as businesses look to take advantage of advances in AI-powered mobile hardware, software, and services."
