U.S. Augmented Reality Headset Market Shares, 2023: XREAL Swells to 76.6% of the Market

This IDC study provides a view of U.S. augmented reality headset market shares by vendor for 2023. "The U.S. AR market witnessed further consolidation at the top while smaller vendors mostly relied on older models to maintain a position," said Ramon T. Llamas, research director with IDC's AR/VR team. "XREAL took a major leap forward and with it, so did consumer experiences in AR. Meanwhile, full-year availability of Magic Leap's second-generation headset resulted in continued growth for the company. These were enough to offset the losses among the remaining companies struggling to collect single-digit market share."
