U.S. Smartwatch Market Shares, 2023: Apple Dominates in a Down Year

This IDC study examines the market shares of the major vendors in the U.S. smartwatch market in 2023."The macroeconomic and inflationary difficulties dampened multiple markets in the United States, including the smartwatch market," says Ramon T. Llamas, research director for IDC's Wearables team. "Even with new models arriving to market as well as numerous promotions during the second half of the year, total volumes could not match the results that we saw in 2022 during each quarter of 2023. With recovery inching along, 2024 stands to be a rebound year."
