This IDC study discusses the worldwide smartphone market for 2023."The slight rebound in 2023 could be a precursor of a better day ahead for 2024 as demand starts to return in many markets slowly," said Anthony Scarsella, research director with IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. "Premium is the new trend in many mature markets as ASPs continue to grow at the high end. However, most of the shipment growth will come from emerging markets where the cost of a smartphone remains relatively low."
