Renal denervation is a minimally invasive procedure that aims to decrease the sympathetic nerve activity to the kidneys. It involves threading a catheter through the arteries until it reaches the renal arteries, which supplies blood to the kidneys. The device then delivers energy to the nerves in the vessel wall to disrupt the signals that can cause high blood pressure.
