Medical purity analyzers are used for gas production and verification. They are also used to measure the purity of gases such as oxygen based on the physical or chemical properties using techniques such as laser, infrared, zirconia, and paramagnetic. Medical purity analyzers are used for the analysis, detection, and measurement of pure or a mixture of medical gases in hospitals and healthcare industries. Medical gases enable easy penetration through natural physiological barriers. After administration in the system, the concentration of these gases is measured and analyzed so that patients' condition can be stabilized after surgery. Medical gas purity analyzer is designed to measure continuously the quality of medical air and/or oxygen injected in the hospital medical gas piping network. Medical purity analyzers include equipment and instruments such as vacuum systems, regulators, flow meters, monitoring systems (such as alarms and monitors), fluidics (valves, pumps, tubing), sealing solutions, and concentrators. These instruments analyze the concentration of medical gases and their mixtures including oxygen-nitrous oxide along with their purities, and presence of any impurities, such as water vapors, and other organic and inorganic impurities, in medical gases. Medical purity analyzers are instruments used for determining and measuring the qualitative and quantitative composition of pure medical gases or mixtures of medical gases.

For instance, in April 2021, Yokogawa Electric Corporation, a provider of industrial automation and test and measurement solutions, announced that it has developed TDLS8200 probe type tunable diode laser spectrometer. TDLS8200 will be able to simultaneously measure oxygen, carbon monoxide, and methane gas concentrations directly and at high speed. In addition to having the ability to simultaneously measure three different gas types, TDLS8200 will be enhanced this year with the release of a version that will be able to perform measurements in environments where temperatures range up to 850°C. This will enable the stable and simultaneous measurement of oxygen, carbon monoxide, and methane in plant boilers and heating furnaces, thereby facilitating efficient combustion control and safe operation.
