The parts and systems installed in the aircraft cabin are referred to as the aircraft interiors. The growth of in-flight entertainment and internet solutions to browse and stream movies and games of the passenger's choice is a result of the use of smartphones and tablets in our daily lives. The term "in-flight entertainment and connectivity" (IFEC) refers to the onboard internet service that airlines provide to travelers on business and commercial aircrafts. Personal electronic devices (PEDs), such as laptops and smart phones, can be used to access this service in order to browse the internet, play games, watch movies, and watch serials. It appears that IFEC systems operate without the requirement for observable cables. The wiring is concealed inside the aircraft's walls, starting in the top panel near the oxygen masks and the air conditioning controls. The power units, which are arranged in a few rows along the sidewall of the aircraft, are next attached to these lines.

A small space on board an aircraft containing a toilet and sink is known as an aircraft lavatory or plane toilet. Except for few short-haul flights, they are prevalent on passenger flights. Historically, chemical toilets were used on aircraft, but many of them now employ a vacuum flush system. The number of restrooms available to each passenger on board an aircraft varies greatly from airline to airline and aircraft to aircraft.

The number of passengers flying has increased in major nations like Canada, the United States, Brazil, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, Saudi Arabia, and India. When people seek to escape the monotonous routine that has emerged as the "new normal" in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic, this behavior is referred to as revenge travel or tourism. It also results from a condition known as "lockdown fatigue," or exhaustion that worsens as a result of monotony. These factors significantly increase the demand for commercial aircraft interiors.

Developments:

In order to deliver inflight connectivity (IFC) on 105 of its brand-new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, Alaska Airlines has chosen Intelsat. The 2Ku inflight connection and streaming entertainment system from Intelsat, which is already flying with more than 150 aircraft in Alaska's fleet, will be installed on the aircraft when it is delivered. Deliveries of new Alaska Airlines 737-9s outfitted with Intelsat have already started and will continue through 2024. Since 2010, the two businesses have worked together to provide IFEC (inflight entertainment and connectivity) on the airline's fleet of Embraer 175, Boeing 737NG, and Airbus A320 family aircraft. Together, they also introduced the world's first free in-flight messaging service in 2017, and Intelsat continues to support Alaska's "most movies in the sky" programme, which offers over 700 films and TV episodes.
